“SuccEsthetician” The Successful Esthetician Story
At
16 years old, she was selling whitening soaps to her classmates.
Her
dark complexion which was far from her mother’s skin and cousins’
pushed her to do studies about whitening products and to be fond of
using cosmetics that will help her achieve fair skin for the boost of
her confidence. At the age of sixteen, she was selling whitening soap
bars for 100 pcs. daily to be delivered in her school. Since her
mother saw she had the strongest will among others to pursue business
of making people beautiful, she gave her a clinic as graduation gift
after finishing high school.
In
college, she took up the Bachelor in Cosmetics Science to pursue her
ambition. While studying, she advanced her skills through
experimenting her own line of products using her own whitening
formula and ingredients for skin enhancement.
Ms.
Hazel Pablo Laniog, an IAAS graduate, shares her tips on how to
become a successful medical esthetician through her real-life story
from a humble dreamer to a young entrepreneur and professional
medical esthetician.
Advise
to newly graduates
In
pursuing this line of career, she said that one must need to
patiently master the craft. Acquire the skills from the expert and
earn the certification from a trusted and reputable institution.
Finding a job might be a little challenging but with the vast network
of opportunities in the market, one could surely land on a good job
with good compensation. Learning must be one of the goals of getting
employment for career growth and skills development. She said that
it’s very important to perfectly understand the in-and-out of the
skin care business.
After
finishing college, she worked with the renowned names in skin care
industry. She acquired the skills of putting the right ingredients of
beauty products, all the essential elements in cosmetic industry,
sales, effective formulations and interpersonal skills with the big
names and entrepreneurs of different cosmetic companies in the
Philippines.
Learning
from her work experience helped her to gradually conceptualize her
own line of products and she was doing it while still connected with
her previous companies. Through the support of her loyal clients,
genuine friends and loving family members, she was able to put her
own skin clinic with the complete state-of-the-art facilities at the
age of 27.
Building a
network of clients
Honesty is the number one virtue that she holds highly essential in
her line of work. Integrity follows after the clients felt valued
from the competitive service provided. Her decade of clients still
trust the reliability of the customer service she provides. Her
clinic is known for its top-rating quality at an affordable price for
those who dream to become beautiful on the tight budget.
Currently, Ms. Hazel Laniog runs two skin clinic, one in Malabon and
another one which just recently opened in Munoz.
Keeping
within the game
Competitions among skin clinics are part of the business. When one

wrong. She is always open for questions among her clients with regard
the cost of products to guarantee them that she offers the most

Keeping
one’s feet on the ground
Despite the overwhelming success that she enjoys at a young age, she
maintains to be grounded and humble for all the things she has
achieved. Her patients a decade ago still trust her and her network
grows with clients from different walks of life. As she helped her
clients build confidence and achieve their goals, her name and
precocious success begin to establish a good reputation in the skin
care industry.

NBI ARRESTS FAKE DOCTOR
The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) today announced the arrest of an individual by the NBI-Special Action Unit (NBI-SAU) in Quezon City for illegal practice of Medicine.
NBI Officer-In-Charge (OIC) Director Eric B. Distor identified the subject as HAZEL G. PABLO a.k.a. “HAZEL PABLO LANIOG”.
OIC Director Distor said that the operation stemmed from a complaint against Subject Pablo alleging that the latter introduces herself as a Doctor of Aesthetic Medicine. The complainant who is a licensed Medical practitioner also added that Subject Pablo had been using her name, signature and physician license number in prescribing post-procedure medicines to her clients in the her clinic named ZSS MEDICARE INC./ZELAH SKINCARE STATION (CLINIC) located in San Antonio 1, Quezon City. Witnesses also stated that there had already been complaints by some clients of Subject Pablo of some botched medical procedures performed to them by the subject. The complaint was supported by three (3) former employees of Subject Pablo.
Thus, on August 2, 2021, an entrapment operation was hatched to catch Subject Pablo in the act of practicing medicine. An NBI agent accompanied the poseur-client proceeded to the CLINIC to undergo medical procedure while the other operatives strategically positioned themselves near the area.
Inside the clinic, Subject Pablo explained to the poseur-client together with the undercover agent the procedures before the syringe containing fat eliminator substance will be administered. The subject also told the poseur-client and the undercover agent that the cost of the entire treatment is Php 50,000.00.
After the preparatory procedures, Subject Pablo informed the poseur-client that she will be injected with a syringe containing the fat eliminator substance. When Subject Pablo was about to inject the syringe, the undercover agent gave the pre-arranged signal to the other operatives. The NBI-SAU operatives immediately swooped in and caught Subject Pablo in the act, holding the syringe.
NBI-SAU operatives recovered from the subject documents pertaining toher clients, falsified prescriotion receipts, unregistered cosmic products and substances, radiation and medical devices. Subject Pablo also failed to present any Authorization/Permit/ License/ Certificated of Registration/ Accreditation/ Compliance/ Exemption/ or any document granted by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the medical devices used in the clinic for diagnosis, monitoring and treatment of their patients. A Certification from yhe Professional Regulations Commission (PRC) also showed that the name HAZEL PABLO does mot appear ib the database of Physicians which cobtain the names of duly authorized to practice Medicine in the Philippines.
Subject Pablo was presented for Inquest proceedings before the Office of the City Prosecutor of Quezon City for Illegal Practice of Medicine in violation of R.A. 2382 (The Medical Act of 1959); violation of Section 10 of R.A. 9711 (Food and Drug Administration Act of 2009); Estafa in violation of Article 315(2)(a) and Falsification by Private Individuals and Use of Falsified Documents in violation of Article 172 both of the Revised Penal Code, as amended.
